Rick & Carol Nugent

Rick and Carol officially started their company in January of 1978 and received their Michigan builder's licenses in 1976 & 1993 respectively. Carol's role focuses on the design of custom homes and remodeling projects and managing the company's finances and employee benefits program. They have built dozens of custom homes in West Michigan and currently employ a full-time staff of more than twenty-eight professionals.

Rick is a professional committed to the enrichment and growth of his community and practices continuous quality improvement within the building industry. To this end, Rick is active in numerous public, church and community organizations. He is a longstanding, serving member of the Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids, serving as the organization's president in 1992 and 1993. Rick is founding chair of the Custom Builder Council, serves on the Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB) Board of Directors and is a Lifetime Board Member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). In 1999 he was elected as a Life National Director of the NAHB.

A key value of Rick and Carol is having satisfied, happy clients and positive working relationships with their subcontractors. For his dedication and integrity working with subcontractors, Rick was selected to receive the coveted Homebuilders and Associates in Partnership (HAP) Award in 1996. This prestigious recognition is only extended to those construction leaders who practice positive, honest working relationships with their subcontractors. The HAP Award recipient is selected solely by area sub-contractors.
